THE NAPLES UNDERGROUND STATION: RESEARCH

This post will be about The Naples Underground Central station, also known as Napoli Central, located in Naples, Italy, and designed by EMBT ( Miralles  Tagliabue) .
The functionality of this architectural station makes it an important part of Naples transportation network (Benedetta Tagliabue, 2020). The design features a wavy wooden roof, providing shade and organic forms, with a mix of natural materials and architectural techniques. They create a feeling of location, the designs combine elements related to Naples historical and cultural(Arquitectura Viva, 2021).

Im looking to connect my design to this metro station, as I have a wavy design for my railway project. It seems similar to the forms used in this metro station. The examination of the pavilions relationship to the surrounding urban environment makes me think to improve my railway station to looking how the architect use the parametric design, this could be helpful for my structure of my project.
The integration with nature also I should Add to my project for example: green spaces, trees to create a pleasant environment, and public spaces include areas for community activities, and using an ecofriendly materials. The design easy access points and connections to other transportation(Vienna, 2024). I tried to keep all the information I have in this research, and I tried to draw my first design about my project.

  1. Rabab, you are still using a translator extensively and including words such as parametric which I am sure you don't understand! Please, remember that if you use translation software or AI generation, this could be an Academic Offence. I recommend that you take some time to rewrite this post and others on here including more of your own voice in your text.
