Demographics of Leicester Update
If any city that would examplify the ethnicity diversification of England to surely will be Leicester. According to the last census held in 2021, the population of leicester is 368581. The majority of this population comes from different cultural backgrounds mainly Asian ( about 43%) of the population(Leicester - Local Authority profile 2023). this may explain why the owners of the most famous football club are Asians.
there are also some eastern Europe people and some Africain ones. A quick look at the statistics will show you that females are more than male ones and the ratio of age in Leicester is high too. Leicester is anforadable city. Acoording to the last states, it came in the middle of the top ten most affordable cities to live in England(Patel, 2022)
In regard with my project, I guess that most of the visitors of the railway station will be young and middle-aged people due to their love for football and others sports. Because the railway station will be in the middle of the many stauduims that will open in few days of the week, so most I think the passengers will be young and middle- aged.
But something I need to pay attention to while planning is cultural diversity of the city so I need to be more careful with the use of symbols and shapes so as not to offend any social group.
